Further about clarity, Mobotix has developed their own codec called MxPeg designed for video security. The standard H.264 was developed for Hollywood movies and does work well until you need a still picture. Remember how you paused your VCR and the picture shook? That hasn’t changed. If you need to see a face, a license plate or even a bee’s wing when hovering in front of the camera MxPeg is by far the better method.
