Environmental Monitoring Systems in Winnipeg
Sensors that alert you when conditions in a room go out of range, installed by the company that looks after your cameras and doors.
An equipment room that runs hot overnight tells nobody until something fails. Environmental monitoring systems in Winnipeg exist to tell you earlier. Sensors watch a room, and when a reading leaves the range you set, the right person gets an alert. We install them for facilities and critical spaces, and we set them up so they are useful to the person who has to act on them.
When an Alert Beats a Walk-Through
Some rooms matter more than their size. A room with network equipment, a storage room, a records room and a plant room all need conditions kept in range, and none of them gets visited every hour. A sensor watches continuously and speaks up when something changes. You hear about it when the reading crosses your limit, not the next morning.
If you already have a routine of checking a room by hand, a sensor does not replace your judgment. It takes the checking off your list and gives you a record of what the room did.
What We Measure and Where
We install Kentix sensors for indoor environmental monitoring. What we put in a room depends on the question you are asking. Before we choose a device, we ask what would make you act and who that person is. Then we place the sensor where the reading means something. A sensor beside a heat source reports the heat source. A sensor in the middle of the room tells you about the room.
We have installed Kentix air-quality monitoring in a school and in a seniors centre, where the alerts go out by email when a reading leaves its range.
We explain what each sensor reports and what it does not, so you know how much weight to give a reading.
What We Ask Before We Install
Which rooms matter most? What would a bad reading look like in each one? Who would act on an alert, and what would they do? How would they hear about it at 2 a.m. or on a holiday? These questions are quick to answer and cut down on false alerts. They also tell us which sensors you need and which you do not.
Alerts That Reach the Right Person
An alert is only as good as the person who receives it. We set up who is told when a reading goes out of range, and we test the alert before we leave. When someone changes jobs, your contact list has to change with them, and we show you how.
Environmental Monitoring in Winnipeg Alongside Cameras and Doors
Kentix makes both door access and environmental monitoring equipment, and we install and support both. If you already have access control systems from us, or security cameras, the same company can add a sensor to the room. Cabling for the sensors falls under network cabling, and the whole plan can sit under commercial security systems.
We install in Winnipeg and have since January 2011. We serve Winnipeg buildings from our Chevrier Blvd location and can plan work outside the city into the quote.

Environmental Monitoring Questions
What is environmental monitoring in a building?
Sensors in a room watch conditions such as air quality and temperature and send an alert when a reading leaves the range you set. It tells you about a problem while you are still able to do something about it, instead of when you next walk past.
How much does a temperature monitoring system cost?
It depends on how many rooms you want to watch and what you want measured in each, so we price it after we talk through the rooms. The estimate lists the sensors, the cable and the time before you decide.
Can you monitor a server room or equipment room?
Yes. Indoor environmental monitoring for equipment rooms and other critical spaces is what we install Kentix sensors for. We place the sensor where the reading means something, not just where it is easy to mount.
Who gets the alert, and can I choose?
You choose. We set up who is told when a reading leaves its range, and we test the alert with them before we leave so you know it arrives.
Does air quality monitoring prove a room is safe?
No. A sensor reports what it measures and nothing more. It does not certify a room, and it does not replace a building assessment. Use it to catch a change early and to keep a record.
Know When a Room Needs Attention
Tell us which rooms and conditions matter and who should hear about a problem. We will set up the sensors and alerts.
